Block is a skill that reduces the amount of incoming damage on a unit.
Usually associated with Order race, it causes for damage to be effectively mitigated by a certain amount, ie: the damage received by a unit is effectively lower than what the attacker dealt and can even be completely negated if Block is high enough. It is triggered only by direct hits and has a passive nature, meaning that it will always be active, but only against physical hits (and not by skills such as Spikes, Pierce, Poison...).
Block is a stackable skill, meaning any additional block gained by other sources is added to the existing skill on the unit.
Block units can be classified as Blockers and Block granters, based on the target of the effect.
Blockers
These units can take advantage of the Block skill themselves. Brackets means the skill will be unlocked at higher levels.

Block granters
These units can grant other units the Block skill, usually when spawned. Brackets means the skill will be unlocked at higher levels.
Self granters
These units will earn the Block skill themselves when certain conditions are fulfilled. In case of units who rely on a certain amount of allies or other units, it's possible they will never use the skill. If no condition is specified, then skill is granted only once - when mentioned unit is spawned.
