Regen

A subtype of Heal, "Regen" skill is visible only by checking on unit's page.

Regen (or Regeneration) is a buff that restores the health of the unit it is on at the start of every turn.

Usually associated with Nature race, it can be formally be seen as sort of a continuous Heal effect, albeit slightly different (as explained below). As such, it also allow the player to prolong units' time on the field.

Regen units can be classified in terms of Self Regen or Regen Granting, based on which unit is the target of the effect.

Self Regen

Target of the healing is the very same unit that owns it.

Regen Granting

These units give the Regen effect to either other, so target of the healing is not the caster. In some rare cases, they can give it to themselves when certain conditions are fulfilled, but in such a case they don't own it when first entering the field.

Brackets means the skill will be unlocked at higher levels.

Comparison with other skills

Regen vs. Heal

Mostly associated with Nature race, Regen targets a unit on the field, allowing that unit to recover HP (up to max HP) at the start of turn. Albeit it allows for similar effects to continuous board heal casted on the unit itself, it's technically different since it interacts with other skills in different ways.

Unit skills that heal at the start of each turn are functionally quite similar to a Regen buff, but only for as long as the unit in question is alive (and neither silenced nor frozen), while any Regen granted to allies will persist after the granting unit's death.
